We are currently accepting applications from current University of Toronto Physiology graduate students to join the Physiology Mentorship Program (PhysioMP). This program pairs mentors (MSc or PhD candidates who have been with PSL for over a year) with new incoming PSL students in the MSc or direct-entry PhD programs.

The mentor will support the mentee with all aspects of the Physiology program by giving advice on topics such as departmental requirements, campus opportunities, and lifestyle balances. This program encourages mentors to strengthen their leadership and communication skills, share their experiences with others, and develop a sense of community within the Department of Physiology.

Both mentors & mentees will receive Co-Curricular Record (CCR) recognition upon completion of the program requirements.

Eligibility: Applicants must be Physiology graduate students* with good academic standing.

Expectations: Each mentor will be paired with 1 – 2 mentees, and must commit to communicating with their mentee(s) in-person or via email throughout the year (minimum commitment of 3 – 5 hours/semester per mentee), and attend the Mentorship Foundations training sessions. Mentors & mentees will also attend GASP-hosted events (minimum one per semester). Mentees are expected to actively participate in the mentorship by asking questions, responding to their mentors, etc.
